British Virgin Islands Restaurant & Dining Reviews
Frenchman's Cay 01/25/2004

By far the worst food I have ever had and WAY too expensive. All of the entrees are a la carte,so I ordered the $7.00 caesar salad which had soggy croutons, bottled dressing, and Kraft powdered parmesan cheese all served on a tiny plate(the portion was fine but 1/2 the romaine fell off the plate.)The pumpkin soup was horrible(everyone else on the island had fabulous pumpkin soup.)I ordered vegetarian crepe which was so bad you cannot even begin to believe. It consisted of a dried up, microwaved crepe with some cabbage, onions,&peppers swimming in a sauce from a jar. There was some packaged rice mix on the side&it was $18.00.My s.o. had the grilled lobster-so over cooked it was stuck in the shell. Our service was really bad-our server was nice&sweet but alone on a night where she was trying to take care of about 7 tables(fine dining-more difficult) and the owner was there and he was useless. Our tea& water& beer were empty & we were offered no refills. My dinner sat untouched for 20 minutes& the owner walked by at least 8-10 times& he never asked if anything was wrong or offer to get us more drinks.Oh yeah, the bread was microwaved & served hot but hard as a rock.I did not ask, but I told the server how bad the dinner was & she took off my entree but the bill at 60.00 for 1 entrees & soup & salad was way to high.I am a restaurant owner and understand athe difficulties of the business but this was horrific!
