Cheaper by about £400 per person for the fortnight and I think better value. Felt like poor relations though when Cocos was closed and we had to use the other restaurants on site. It's changing for 2005 so Beach Club only use Cocos as part of the package but I think that might get a bit repetitive. Food was always good and varied but after 2 weeks you could do with a change. Hotel is down in SE of island and a bit cut off. Car hire was very poor - talk about a wreck but we seem to be the only ones who weren't happy. Room was right on the beach in the Mango block. Service was magnificent most of the time - especially drinks cart for the beach. Had a bit of trouble getting the free bottle of rum on departure (Virgin guests only) but got there eventually. Apart from the rain on the last day (and boy can it rain!) I could heartily recommend the resort.
