Anguilla
Harbour Villas 01/18/02

When I was researching my first trip I was looking exclusively at places on a beach. While there I discovered Harbour Villas. I have stayed many times since. While not on the beach, it is right across the street. It is also up a bit affording a wonderful view of Island Harbour village, the harbour and Scilly Cay. It is also wonderful to be in the village. I love being walking distance from Smitty's, Hibernia, the boat to Scilly Cay, fish stores, groceries, Harry's scooter rental, Le Bon Pain bakery and Grete's delicious ribs and johnny cakes. And it's not far to Palm Grove or Shoal Bay. The rooms are spacious with lots of light and cooling breeze. All units have full kitchens and big beds. Get an upstairs unit if you can, they have large balconies with fantastic views. Downstairs they have raised porches that have a pretty good view too. There is a new pool in front, although with the sea right there I've never used the pool. Phyllis is very helpful with anything you may need or any questions you may have. When in Anguilla I spend most of my time out experiencing the Island. I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars for a room. Harbour Villas is affordable, roomy, comfortable, well appointed, and for me, in the perfect location. It has become my home in Anguilla.
