Hotel & Resort Reviews:
Aruba
Renaissance 11/02/02
Reviewers Rating: Fair
Stayed here on a timeshare trade where the private island was the draw. Had a nice view of the parking lot, so I guess timeshare trades get the cheapest rooms. We will not come back. Kitchenette was minimal. Private island was good - spent parts of two days there - although the shuttle drivers would rather be somewhere else. Glad there was a breakwall at the private island due to Aruba's constant winds. You won't need a car here - only rented one for a day. Drinks were more expensive than they needed to be, and 16 bucks for a very basic breakfast buffet is a joke. We never ate at the resort. Convenient to shops and casinos, and good restaurants within walking distance, but stay somewhere else.
