Sunset Beach Resort 11/17/02

My Husband and I stayed at Sunset Beach resort from 31 Oct 02 till 14 Nov 02. This was our first visit to Jamaica. The resort was absolutely wonderful!!! We tried all four restaurants, and the only neagative experience was in the Silk Road. The food was wonderful but the service did leave a lot to be desired!!! The Bannan Walk Buffet was amazing!!! My husband is a picky eater and he surprised both of us by trying most of the dishes served!!

The room was very clean although the decor was a little dated and our airconditioner was noisy. They were in the process of changing all units as we were leaving. The nightly entertainment was wonderful!! There was definately something for everyone!! The beaches were a littly rocky and surf shoes are a must!!! Bring your own insulated mugs to save walking all day on the beach!!! The nude beach was a very safe and secure place to go!!! Everyone on that beach was friendly and we all took turns bringing drinks to each other!!!

We also went on 3 tours. I wouldn't recommend the Mobay underwater tour, you could hardley see out of the glass due to algae!!! The Black Creek and the Croydon Plantation are very good!!! If you are subject to motion sickness take either Bonamine or Gravol as the drive is quite wild!!!

All in all I would highly recommend this resort!!! It was an absolute perfect holiday!! Giving us mempories we will cheris forever!!!
