Bird Rock Beach Resort 03/27/02

Just got back from a trip to St. Kitts/Nevis. Stayed at the the Bird Rock and had a wonderful stay there. The hotel is very beautiful, its on a cliff which overlooks Bassettere. They have a dive site on the grounds and have dive trips daily. The hotel grounds were very well kept with beautiful flowers and fruit trees. The rooms were nice and had A/C. The staff there were very friendly and accommodating. We were always stopping and chatting with them. To see the island, you definitely want to rent a car to get around. The restuarant there was fairly good and we ate there a few times Another place for dinner or drinks, I suggest going to a place called Shipwreck which is about 5 minutes south at South Friar's Beach...really nice place, friendly local hangout and great food. Get the lobster! We loved the island and the Bird Rock...we are definitely going back! E-mail me with any questions.
