Malliouhana - Anguilla or Sands Grace Bay - T&C w/kids

Postby sillysully » Sun May 14, 2006 11:47 am

Traveling in Nov. from BOS w/3 kids - 5, 7, & 9. Would like kids to meet other kids. Originally considered Beaches T&C or Disney, but children still rave about family trip to Aruba due to great pool, beach and interaction w/other kids. Any input welcomed! THX!!

Malliouhana is really a beautiful resort, and now has a VERY child friendly beachside area, just for them - waterslide, pool and superb Bistro.

You might also want to check out Cuisinart Resort here in Anguilla, as I KNOW it gears a lot of activities for kids, and they would make a lot of pals over their stay. Great poolside restaurant (have the Calimari!) for the adults, who can supervise the little ones while eating and drinking in the shade...........

Hi, been to all three destinations. Though we do not have kids, Anguilla is by far the nicest. However, with kids, Aruba or T and C may be better. But from an adult perspective neither are close to Anguilla!

Thanks for the input. Definitely don't want to go back to Aruba and we've ruled out Cuisinart. Any other opinions on Malli or Sands at Grace Bay with kids? Malli does have a great rate for Nov. and their pool/play area for the kids looks fun. THX

Anguilla vs T&C

Postby Rosalie » Mon May 15, 2006 7:59 pm

I have been to both islands. Not with kids. Much prefer Anguilla, but the Sands at Grace Bay on T & C had lots of kids. Very kid friendly. We stayed at a hotel next door, Sibonne, definately not kid friendly. Children under 10 not allowed in the pool and a sign by the restaurant saying children should nap between 12 and 2. Not kidding. Really not kidding. The Sands had a great restaurant called Hemingways, ate there maybe 5 or 6 times.Walked by there two or three times a day, most of the people there are young families with kids. Again, prefer Anguilla, but didn't have kids along. Enjoy your vacation!!!
