Caribbean Fashionweek is being launched in St Lucia and Barbados, in what organisers Pulse say is a historic development. The special CFW previews take place this Saturday at the Bay Gardens Hotel in Castries, St Lucia and on Monday at the Almond Beach Village, on the east coast of Barbados. CFW, which is in its seventh year, is boldly moving forward, Pulse CEO Kingsley Cooper said, with its plan to "unify and further develop the region's fashion industry. As it puts Caribbean fashion on the world stage, CFW continues to gain recognition from the international market and is now viewed as one of the fastest rising fashion events in the world".
Over the past six years, fashion enthusiasts throughout the Caribbean and the wider international community, have made the journey to Jamaica, to celebrate the innovative creations of the region's most brilliant designers. This year, Pulse and Air Jamaica, in a joint initiative, will broaden the scope of the event by previewing some of the pieces that will hit the runway at Caribbean Fashionweek come June 6-10.
