New hotel in St. Lucia for Cricket Cup

Postby KarenS » Wed Feb 22, 2006 9:04 am

According to "A new four star hotel is being built in time for World Cup Cricket 2007 in Caribbean.

Investors are embarking on the construction of the Bay Gardens Beach Resort which is being constructed in Rodney Bay, St. Lucia.

General Manager, Bay Gardens Hotel, Berthia Parle tells the Business Report that the first phase will consist of 36 2-bedroom luxury apartments, restaurant, beach bar, lobby bar, lagoon style pool.

This first phase of construction of the Georgian plantation-style four story building carries a price tag of approximately $33.5 million Barbados dollars.

The second phase will feature 35 one, two and three bedroom condominiums for sale adjacent to the hotel.

One reason the new luxury property is being built at Rodney Bay, Mrs. Parle explains, is that most of St. Lucia's hotels are located quite a distance from the beau-se-jour cricket ground."

Anyone planning on going to the World Cup Competition?
