What to do on Christmas Day in St. Maarten??

Postby cruiseprn » Wed Nov 26, 2008 9:26 am

My family will be docked in St. Maarten on Christmas Day this year. I don't really want to be on a schedule and do a ship excursion. So, I have heard that Little Divi Bay is a good beach for kids, two boys ages 11 and 6. Wondered if what others think, and will there be places to eat open near there on Christmas Day for lunch?

Also, would love to possibly visit Orient Beach, would there be places open for lunch there?

I was in St. Maarten in Sept, and one of the shop owners on the Dutch side at least, said it was law that they had to close on Christmas Day. What about the French side?
