From "With a view to strengthen bilateral trade, a 125-member Indian delegation would visit Trinidad and Tobago this week to explore new areas of investment and promote long-term business interest.

The Indian delegation, representing 50 Indian companies from diverse manufacturing fields, would take part in the 10-day long Indian trade fair beginning here on Thursday.

'The focus will be on increasing trade, investments and tourism, to deepen cultural linkages and to foster greater people-to-people contact between the two countries,' Gopal Arora, General Secretry of Society for Global Welfare, who is here as part of the delegation said. | Go to Sify Business Home page |

The Indian Trade Fair is being organised by International Business Promotions, Trinidad and the Society for Global Welfare, India.

'The objective of the Trade Fair is to promote long term business relationships, exploring new areas of bilateral trade and investments and to present before the people of T&T the potential of Indian products, and the vast scope it offers for developing trade between both countries,' Arora said.

He said 'T&T has a strong economy with high per capita income and rich oil and gas reserves. India in turn has skilled and young manpower, and a strong industrial base making it one of the fastest growing economies.'

Besides strengthening trade, other areas of interest are religious tourism and medical tourism, he added."
