Need a condo or house in Provo for 5 people April 3-10th

Postby Doug_D » Sat Jan 14, 2006 11:05 pm

Myself and four relatives (5 non-smokers / no children) will be in Provo from April 3 through the 10th and we want to rent a 2 or 3 bedroom condo or house (not interested in seperate hotel rooms).

It doesn't have to be 4 or 5 star luxury, but clean, comfortable 3 star (not run down) accomodation would be nice. We would really prefer that it be directly on the beach, but across the street might be OK if it was less money and / or nicer. If it's a house, a pool would be a nice bonus, but not an absolute requirement. We don't care about TV, though air conditioning (I'm assumming it's needed?) would be nice. We LOVE sunsets!!

We will be renting a car, so it doesn't have to be in the middle of whatever action Provo has to offer, but we don't want to be miles and miles away from the nearest bar or restaurant, either. We will probably be eating breakfast and some lunches in and going out for most or all dinners.

What we do NOT want is to be woken up by construction at 8:00 am in the morning, or over-run by tons of screaming kids and toddlers poolside. Two of us are divers and will almost certainly be booking some kind of dive package with one of the local dive operators. The other three do not dive, so they will be more concerned staying somewhere that has a nice beach and (hopefully) good snorkeling.

I'd like to find something for around $2,000 U.S. for the week (is this realistic?) but $2,500 or so would probably be OK. Any help, suggestion, or offers of accomadation would be GREATLY appreciated!!

Hi Doug - Ocean Point Villas is a long time sponsor of ours and sounds like they may have what you are looking for - may be a little out of your price range but some of the cottages look nice. You can check out their site here http://www.oceanpointvillas.com/

Check out Villa Oasis--www.villa oasis.com. They have a two and four bedroom villa right on Grace Bay Beach. Has a pool. Within walking distance to the reef at Coral Gardens for snorkeling.

Check out this property. Five couples will be using this one in May. We have not been there before, but appears to be a great place.

You could rent a two or three bedroom condo at The Sands, Coral Gardens, or Ocean Club Resorts. All have GREAT accomodations, pools, right on the beach, resturants/bar on site, as well as within walking distance to other resturants. Great sunset views. All have full kitchens and washer/dryers with house keeping each day.
