Rains and Louvered Doors

Postby Kim » Tue Jan 29, 2008 10:43 am

Hello,

In the current issue of Coastal Living magazine there are two homes featured. One in Caicos and one in Grenadines. Both have these beautiful louvered doors that open to the sea.
We are in Belize on the coast and were wondering how they hold up to Horizontal Rains?
We are assuming you have the same weather we have here??
Do you who live there also use additional hurricane protection/ panels?

Thanks for any info.

During a hurricane almost everyone has hurricane shutters and/or boards over their windows/doors. These would be in addition to anything you probably saw - sometimes the hurricane shutters are taken down during the non hurricane months totally.
