Canada Customs officers are training authorities in the Caribbean on how to intercept terrorists and bombs during next month's Cricket World Cup, which will be played on nine islands.

Hundreds of Toronto-area cricket fans will be travelling to the Caribbean to watch Canada compete against 16 countries for the cup, which takes place every four years.

Canada's first game is March 14 against Kenya in St. Lucia. The tournament runs from March 5 to April 28.

The officers are being trained on the Itemizer 3, which detects residue of drugs or explosives.
