strike may effect CWC in Grenada

ST GEORGE'S, Grenada: A major strike is being threatened by workers at the Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC) in Grenada, which could hamper the country's preparations for next month's Cricket World Cup 2007.

The Technical and Allied Workers Union (TAWU) and CCC have had many battles in the past and this time the union president General Chester Humphrey says he will not bend his head on this issue.

CCC has a number of road projects to be completed in time for the Cricket World Cup.
