From Feb. 2:
BARBADIAN CRICKET FANS rushed to the Cricket World Cup ticket centre yesterday morning to secure seats for the mega-event.
Late Wednesday night it was announced that seats were still available for the six Super 8 matches at Kensington Oval from April 11 to 21. Fans were outside the door of the ticket centre at Pelican Village, Bridgetown, from as early as 7 a.m.
As of yesterday, the final remained sold out, but WEEKEND NATION was told this could change when tournament staff complete checks today.
The office at the centre opened just after 8 a.m. to start Phase 3 of the ticketing process. Fans who were successful yesterday were able to get the tickets in their hands.
