The Filipino Volleyball League, jointed by other nationalities and recognized by the Ministry of Sports, begins on Saturday 3 June at the Airport Park (across Foster’s Food Fair). Guest Speaker: Hon. Alden McLaughlin. Call Bong (925-8404) or Pie (927-3863) for more information.

Cayman National Choir Concert:

Cayman National Choir & Cayman National Orchestra present 'Summer Overture', two concerts on Wednesday 7 June and Thursday 8 June at 7:30 pm at Cayman Prep School Hall, Smith Road. Tickets: $10 – adults; $5 – children, available from Choir & Orchestra members and Foster’s Food Fair (all supermarket locations).

Diabetes Association Meeting:

The Cayman Islands Diabetes Association’s next monthly meeting is Wednesday 7 June at 6:00 pm at the Cayman Islands Hospital (Orchid Conference Room upstairs).
Lucy Martyr will present information learned from the recent Diabetes Conference in Jamaica. All are welcome.

Cayman Airways Ticket Office:

Cayman Airways advises its customers that to facilitate the attendance of staff members at an important meeting with the Minister of Tourism, the City Ticket Office on Dorcy Drive will close at 3:30 pm on Wednesday 24 May. Regular hours of operation will commence on Thursday 25 May from 8:30 am until 5:00 pm.

National Gallery’s Lunchtime Lecture:

The National Gallery will host a lunchtime lecture on Wednesday 24 May entitled ‘Ar-Klv’, on the current exhibition of works by artist Allison Lasley, at 12:15 pm, which will last approximately 30 minutes. Afterwards, a free lunch of sandwiches from the Carib Bean will be served. Contact the Gallery at 945-8111 for more information.

National Trust Bat Conservation Project:

The National Trust and wildlife biologist, Annie Band, will be having a special lunch presentation on the Bat Conservation Project on Wednesday 24 May from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm at the Brasserie Conference Room. Paint to Empower Women’s Resource Centre (WRC):

Work of Art, an arts supply store located at the Shoppes at Grand Harbour, will be holding a fundraiser to benefit the WRC on Wednesday 24 May from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Fifty per cent of all purchases made in the studio will be donated to the WRC.

ICCI Admissions Applications:

International College of the Cayman Islands’ Summer Quarter Admission applications are accessible via the website at icci.edu.ky and may be mailed, faxed or emailed. General registration is 24 May to 7 June and Summer quarter classes commence 19 June.

British Comedy presentation:

The Cayman Drama Society presentation of 'Jeffrey Bernard is Unwell', a British comedy written by Keith Waterhouse and directed by Penny Phillips, continues on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, starting at 7:30 pm. Doors open at 6:45 pm. To reserve seats please contact the Box Office at 949-5054, weekdays between 9:00 am and 12 noon, and 1:00 pm and 4:30 pm. Call 525-5054 on weekends. Tickets are CI$15.00.

Grace Tabernacle Concert:

Also in celebration of Child Month, Grace Tabernacle’s youth Ministry will be hosting a Concert entitled 'Passion for Praise' at their church venue - #8 Alexander Place, Dorcy Drive, Industrial Park, on Friday 26 May at 7:00 pm. Cost: Adults - $5.00; Children pay $2.00 at the door. Refreshments will be on sale.

JGHS Concert:

The John Gray High School Staff concert will take place on Saturday 27 May at 7:00 pm in the Assembly Hall. Tickets can be had from Mrs Chin-Sinn, Mrs Wallbank, Mrs Lawrence and Ms Harvey at the school. Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults.

National Trust Traditional Homes Serie:s

The National Trust will be hosting the Traditional Homes Series on Saturday 27 May at 10:00 am. Learn more about the beautiful details of traditional Caymanian homes in East End presented by Denise Bodden. $5 for Trust members; $10 for non-members. The CIFA Fundraiser:

The Cayman Islands Football Association will be hosting its annual black tie fundraiser - The CIFA World Cup Extravaganza - at the Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman on Saturday 27 May at 7:00 pm.
