Do Cubans like being taken photos?

my husband and I love travelling and taking pictures. We took around 1,000 pictures on each trip we went. Of course we used digital camera not film. Then,we need to check how Caban people react when they are being taken photos.
We love taking picture of local people life style, particularly when they smile, laugh or having a good time.

Is there any law or registration we should be aware?
Any place or time we need to be aware of carrying camera with us?
Anything else we need to be careful with?

This is our first trip to carribean. We prefer somewhere not commercial at all, lay back, down to earth and beautiful. So we love to visit CUBA.
we have no friends and relative visit CUBA before, then we need lots of advises
Many thanks

Hi Sophia
I find if I’m far away with my telephoto lens, I say nothing, but if I’m up close I would ask them if they mine.( most if not all are just fine) Just like you would anywhere else in the world.
Do not take any pictures of any military subject at all. Do not take pictures of a jail, prison or the police. I would not even take a picture of the security at the resort.
Everything else is fair game.
If you would like a site that will be able to give you a lot more advise try here: ... -Cuba.html
Hope This helps!

Thank you very much for you tagged. I visited TELEGRAPH website checking out some CUBAN pictures from JAMES SPARSHATT, all are stunning and inspired me so much. After reading his column I decided to plan for CUBA trip. Thanks again and wish me luck

Just be polite and avoid any instances with the military and it should be just like anywhere else!
