Hello..will be making my first trip to Cuba since the US dollar is no longer accepted. Is there a SIGNIFICANT difference in the exchange rate from the airport and the hotel, or is it neglibible? I have read somewhere that the airport offers a better rate...of course, all things being equal, I would have thought that the rates would be uniform throughout the country...thanks in advance

From our experience a few weeks ago the rates are pretty similar. I would suggest exchanging "as you go" right at the hotel, then you won't get stuck with exchanging back any unspent money at the end and loosing out that way.

As for the rate, it is pretty much the same as USD - we bought 60CV for about 80CAD.
