Cayo Coco & Guillermo - can locals travel freely here?

Postby moniker » Sat Feb 11, 2006 9:53 pm

Hello

Just read that apparently locals can only go to the resorts above if they work there. Is this still true? The posting i read was quite old.

Much thanks

Correct, Cubans are not free to go where they want in their own country.

The locals can not just drive out for a "look see" the cayos areas. But beside the workers there is a camp ground where Cubans can request a stay. There are so many camping spots and they get permission to use one for the requested time - if it is available.
