Try reading some of the reviews on this site. There are 3 main beaches in the area:

Guardalavaca (Resorts are Brisas and Club Amigo)

Esmerlda (Resorts are Paradisus and Sol Rio)

Pesquero (Resorts are Playa Costa Verda, Playa Pesquero and Blau)

Also is Occidental on it's own beach.

Sam,

Nicest beach in the Guardalavaca area is Playa Esmeralda which has the Paradisus Rio de Oro and Sol Luna y Mares resorts.

Beach for the Occidental Grand Playa Turquesa resort is not very long.
