Made in Grenada Festival

Postby KarenS » Thu Apr 12, 2007 7:42 am

From Grenada Broadcasting Network:
Organisers of the first ever Made in Grenada Festival (MIGFEST) say it has started off on a positive note. The festival was planned to coincide with Cricket World Cup activities in Grenada between April 10th and 20th.
Visitors and locals alike came out in their numbers at the official opening ceremony at the Grenada Trade Centre on Monday which featured all things local such as clothing, pottery and music.

Some of the highlights of MIGFEST are the Ivan house and a number of theatre plays.
The curtains will come down on the activity on April 22nd.

Meanwhile, lovers of the Fish Friday festival have the opportunity to visit the parish that never sleeps until midnight every night until April 20th.
There will be cultural activities every night as part of efforts to showcase Grenada’s culture for cricket world cup.

Hundreds of locals and visitors continue to enjoy tasty fish dishes, local beverages and desserts at the fish Friday festival which traditionally runs from 6pm until midnight on Fridays.
