videocams & dvd players?

Postby bellabeach » Tue Mar 07, 2006 8:30 pm

I have read that they are a NO-NO, but have also read that people still bring them ...... anyone have them taken away?
I want to bring my port. DVD player so that my little baby can be entertained in the room.....
Not that we are planning on being in the room all day but at night...are there any kiddie programs on TV or no?

DVD players are not allowed in Cuba. Some people have in fact gotten away with the portable ones if Cuban Customs doesn't notice them.

However, others have had these players confiscated by Cuban Customs. When this happens, you are given a form to fill out and can usually re-claim your player when you exit the country. But some people have not been successful in getting their player back. It mysteriously seems to get lost.

Overall, IMHO, it's not worth the problem and the risk of total loss of the player is very real.
